Deliverance

Hey everyone. A poem on Independence which was written in 2002. This shows my long standing commitment to the cause of our national freedom. Though short in terms of its length I think it makes an impact in terms of the argument for statehood. I have given it the title Deliverance & if you look closely at the structure of the poem you will see the first letter of each line spells out Scotland. Anyway I hope you enjoy the read.

Deliverance

Strong though some say not strong enough
Caring & loyal to friends
Out of the picture that others have painted
True to her people she doesn’t pretend
Loving & faithful to all of her family
Always the one who does most of the giving
Nomads returning to reclaim their homeland
Deliverance will come from the not so great, Britain
